Dionne is our part-time CNM who joined our team in April 2023. She has been a CNM since Dec 2021 and started off her midwifery care working at a birth center in Fairbanks, Alaska.
She holds 4 nursing-based degrees with her most recent degree, a Master of Science in Nursing, obtained from Frontier Nursing University. She is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Nursing Practice program with Frontier Nursing University with a focus on the improvement in maternal and neonatal outcomes in underserved and rural areas.
She has worked in the medical field since 2004 and has been a RN since 2013. She has had many roles providing a wide variety of maternal, child and infant care on military installations abroad (Italy and Germany). She is the spouse of a retired Air Force member who served for over 21 years; Hill AFB was their last duty station where she was first introduced to My Family Birth Center in 2021 as a midwifery student. Taking care of women and their families has always been an opportunity and blessing in life that makes her heart and soul happy, outside of caring for her own family. She permanently resides in Fairbanks, Alaska, but she has the drive and passion for midwifery, so she will split her time between there and Utah to serve the communities that wish to experience alternatives to hospital care. She has two adult sons that attend college and work in the lower 48, and a teenage daughter at home. During her personal hours, she truly enjoys running, watching reality TV shows, bowling with husband, summer fishing with the entire family and spending mommy-daughter time.
